Program Director, Managing and Dealing with the Workplace Program Director commitment is for one year plus a one year renewal. Each Program Directors is responsible for a thematic area, and this one will focus on Managing and Dealing with the Workplace. Each Program Director will produce SIX or more programs a year for The League in the thematic space utilizing a variety of modalities. The person in this role does not have to be an expert in the thematic area but it will help if they are passionate about it and have a few contacts who might speak to members or facilitate a conversation within that theme. We mainly offer virtual learning and engagement opportunities to best serve our member locales and time zones. A program can consist of a one-hour format through zoom with either a full expert delivering the content (think “webinar”) or a chat-box format where a leader/expert can give a little content and then invite attendees to a discussion (think Zoom chat or breakout rooms). A longer program may consist of a four-hour or eight-hour engagement either virtual or in-person depending on your vision. The longer workshop creators and presenters are also lightly compensated. The Program Director will be responsible to come up with a topic that fits within the theme, secure an expert or content for the discussion, pick a date/time, write a short invite for the event, and attend for facilitation or support. How will I be supported in these roles? The League operational coordinator will be on-hand to provide support with date scheduling, technology, and communications. The League senior leaders along with appointed senior advisory group members will be a resource to discuss program topics. Sounds interesting! How do I apply? We ask that you send an email by NOVEMBER 15, 2024 to info@globalleadershipleague.org with a short description of your background. Please include a link to your LinkedIn profile or a copy of your CV/resume. We invite professionals of all levels to apply. Affinity Group Leaders Affinity groups are meant to be an engagement space for people in similar roles or identifications. We join together in an online space to increase our networks (outside of those we may see at conferences) and to bring in newer professionals or those who cannot easily build a network in person. Group leaders set the agenda each month, however we encourage there to be a topic and guided flow of discussion and not necessarily presentations. Affinity Group Director, Senior/SIO Leaders Affinity Group Director, Pacific Regional Professionals Affinity Group Director, East Asia Professionals Outreach and In-Person Engagement Leaders (see below) Coffee Connect Coordinators (2 open roles) Pop Up Host, AIEA Conference (Washington DC) Pop Up Host, APAIE Conference (Asia/Pacific location varies) Pop Up Coordinator, AIEC Conference (Pacific region location varies) Coffee Connect Coordinators Every month we offer a 30-minute online chat with people who are not yet members of The League so they can learn about our mission and our programs. During this short program, we engage with attendees using the zoom chat features and unmuted dialogue. This team works together so that each person does not have to attend every month. In this role we encourage creativity and ideas for how to bring more people to Coffee Connect. Pop-Up Hosts While we love our online space, we love seeing people in person too. For each major or minor conference in our field, we like to offer a pop-up event where we gather in a bar near the event site and mingle. These are non-host events so there are no budgets or event details to manage. You just volunteer to be a host if you are attending and be sure to welcome people when they arrive. It’s a great way to use your social energy and expand your networks. |
